As I have mentioned before I play a lot of video games, and I was recently playing Silent Hill Downpour where I noticed that some of the enemies had tattoos. This lead me to the wonderful idea of a post all about game characters with tattoos! So I went through a bunch of games and noticed that most of the tattoos you see on the characters are tribal, have a looky for yourself :
Billy From Resident Evil 0
Kou : The Bouncer
Devil Jin: Tekken 3
Jason : Far Cry 3
Zell Dincht: Final Fantasy 8
Maero: Saints Row 2
Tai : Gears of War 2
Garcia : Shadows Of The Damned
No of course this isn’t always the case that it’s tribal, but it does seem to be quite a common style for game characters. Going back to Silent Hill, I liked that they used traditional Prison tattoos for the prisoner enemies, here in the concept art they are very clear and done extremely well:
