Ever heard the saying “Go big or Go home”? Very commonly heard in the tattoo world, and i dont think they come any bigger than a tattoo bodysuit! Covering entirely the body or with some parts left ink free such as hands, feet, face, sometimes a strip down the torso, the bodysuit tattoo is a show of true dedication.
In history people would get this type of tattoo for many reasons. For instance in the pacific island tattoos were the story of you life,heritage and family. As events happened you got symbolic marks tattooed and eventually you would be left with a full and very meaningful tattoo bodysuit. In Japanese culture, though for a large amount of time tattooing was outlaw and used as a way to mark criminal, tattooing still carried on. Gangs such as the yakuza would have full bodysuit as a sign of they’re affiliation.
